TEAM continued to promote its Responsibilty Has Its Rewards campaign this summer. TEAM traveled all over the US and Canada to reach out to fans who pledged to always have a designated driver, never drive drunk, and wear their safety belts. Fans who participated in the promotion filmed their own traffic safety public service message or received a free souvenir photo. Here is where you may have seen us this summer:

In June TEAM attended the NCAA Fan Fest at the 2008 College World Series in Omaha, NE. The Fan Fest runs every year in conjunction with the College World Series and hosts a number of different games and activities for baseball fans of all ages. Thousands of fans visited TEAM's booth over the course of the 6 day event to take the pledge to be responsible baseball fans, and had the opportunity to pose for the camera with the NCAA College World Series trophy! TEAM returned to the Major League Baseball and Major League Soccer All Star games to promote the designated driver program at Yankee Stadium in New York City and BMO Field in Toronto this July.
Fans at the MLB All Star game who attended the FanFest were able to take home a free souvenir photo posing with their favorite baseball player and a few other fans were able to film public service announcements on being responsible baseball fans.
Two fans in particular knew the rewards of responsibility, Danielle Menzel, from Kansas City, at the MLB All Star Game and Michelle Rosborough, from Los Angeles, at the MLS All Star game. Both Danielle and Michelle signed up to be designated drivers at the stadiums of their favorite teams during the 2007 season. Both were chosen as the Designated Drivers for the Season! Congratulations to both - Responsibility does have its Rewards!

TEAM is happy to welcome five new faces to our line-up.
TEAM’s summer intern Kate Burke, joined TEAM from Georgetown University where she started her junior year in August. On campus, Kate is on the club soccer team and works for the Corp, an entirely student-run organization that operates several coffee shops and convenience stores on the Hilltop. She is an Economics major and is working toward a minor in English. She really enjoyed her time at TEAM because it combines her love of sports with her interest in marketing. Kate enjoyed seeing how a non-profit such as TEAM operates and working with the great people who run it! TEAM has also welcomes two new data processors, Kionna Garrett and Janet Bernard
2008 has been TEAM’s busiest year ever in our Instructor Development Program (IDP). A total of 23 IDP workshops have been
conducted at sports and entertainment facilities across the country. 250 new trainers became certified and 76 trainers recertified.
Please let us know if you are interested in hosting a future IDP by sending an email toinfo@teamcoalition.org. The host receives two free registrations.
