Responsibility Has Its Rewards/PACE Yourself Promotion back

Responsibility Has Its Rewards national partners TEAM Coalition, RADD, and NASCAR join the Nevada Department of Public Safety, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, 12 local law enforcement agencies and local state partners Driver's Edge and UNLV Safe Community Partnership in support of the PACE Yourself: Prevent Automobile Collisions Everyday campaign. This Nevada-specific program brings the RHIR campaign national traffic safety message 'Buckle Up America Every Trip Every Time' to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 11th and 12th for the Sam's Town 300 and the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400.

NASCAR fans attending these Nextel Cup races were encouraged to make the PACE Yourself pledge to always buckle up and leave speed at the track. Over 800 NASCAR fans made the pledge over the weekend and everyone received a branded souvenir photo as well as information about the programs offered by local partners. Each pledge was also an entry into the Responsibility Has Its Rewards sweepstakes. The sweepstakes winner - Ed Romanowski - will receive a VIP prize package including tickets to a future race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and other premium items.

In addition to the opportunity for fans to make the PACE Yourself pledge, Nevada Secretary of State, Dean Heller, and Nevada DPS Program Manager for Traffic and Police Services, Valerie Evans, presented the PACE Yourself Proclamation to Las Vegas Motor Speedway General Manager, Chris Powell, during the pre-race presentation on Sunday.

RHIR and PACE Yourself partners extend our sincerest gratitude to the U.S. Air Force for allowing us to share their space on the midway at the speedway for this outreach. Please visit www.airforce.com.
